SKU: 108
£32.00Price

These bowls from my "One Hundred and Eight" offering bowls project are available for sale as part of the Great Charity Pot and Print festival.  I will be donating 60% of all sales to the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

Please note each bowl is unique and the photos in this listing are examples of some of the bowls.

“One Hundred and Eight” offering bowls project (as the number of Mala prayer beads used in Buddhist, Hindu and Yogic traditions) explores the making process as a form of meditation in repetition of form.

The bowls were made with wild clay from the Preseli Moutains. The clay was dug and processed by students at Coleg Plas Dwbl, young adults with learning difficulties.

The offering bowls were inspired by traditional Korean punch'ong pottery and Japanese kohiki ware. The finished bowls were wood fired and then placed in the ancient Gors Fawr stone circle near Plas Dwbl where the clay was dug from the ground.

As part of the Great Charity Print and Pot Fair I am also offering one of my  wood fired kyusu (side-handled) teapots in a prize draw to support the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

The Charity prize draw will open on Friday 18th February and close on Wednesday 9th March. The winner will be picked at random on Friday 11th March 2022.
